About Youth Pastor Training

This program includes youth pastor training camps (3-4 days) where youth pastors are taught about theology, leadership, youth counselling, youth ministry, discipleship, and business skills while in a camp/natural setting.   While many senior pastors have received no theological training, youth pastors are even worse off.  Uganda is one of the youngest nations with over 80% of the population under the age of 30 and yet the ones put in place to lead these young people have not been led themselves.  They learn ministry techniques and activities to engage young people as well as ways to sustain themselves and their ministries.  

There are also different youth pastor cohorts around the city of Kampala that meet monthly to discuss challenges and issues found in youth ministry.  They are facilitated by PDN to go over different topics and ideas through these small discussion groups.
